hey guys

can a 3.0L out of a TE or newer work as a replacment in a TR manual wagon? just not sure with the box being on the other side like my TJ. can only find TE or newer complete running engines.

any info appreciated!

nah man don't think it'll work, different motor even though it is designated a 6g72 and the bell housing will be different.

i do have 2 engines, the original with bent rods and another complete engine given to me with blown head gaskets. its been sittin to long though i think the bores are rusty. the plan was to rebuild the original engine using the rods out of the spare one. that is if i cant find a complete running engine for around the cost of rebuilding. $500- $700
