hey guys
got given a jack for the car yesterday and found out its only a 1400kg jack
now the magna is about 100kgs over this
would the jack still be ok to use? or would i need the next size up?
the jack will get used ever now and again, its just something handy to have lying around

unless you're planning on jacking the whole car up at once, 1400kg will be more than enough!

Jacks are only meant to be used to lift one corner for changing tyres. So 1400kg is plenty enough. Each tyre is only rated to something like 690kgs anyway.

Get the screw style ones over the pin, better and more accurate height then the pin style ones, they are quite a bit more though (25 compared to 65)

Are they different to the ratchet style ones autobarn have? They always seemed kinda dodgy to me.

Naw ratchet ones are good, i have a set of them as well, i have 3 sets of stands in my possession, ratchet, pin,screw and lifter style ones (pin ones are Brads heh)
