Hi guys,

Having a major issue with my car.

It started normally last night and driving home from work the car started going haywire, Anti lock light comes on and stays on, radio was flicking on and off continuously till it died all together, ended up loosing all my interior and outside lighting, all the instruments came and went, transmission was playing up and the climate control would come and go as well.

Seems like an electrical issue to me but at the moment it's leaking oil outside and wont start!

When i put the key in the igniton or when im able to start everything electrical plays up and on the trip computer comes up "_" then displays "5"

Just tried to start it again and defintley wont crank and also it takes a few times to try and lock it as it just unlocks its self!

Anyone know what this could be????

Sounds as though one of the battery terminals/leads may have come loose.

Make sure your battery terminals arent leaking (if they are sand them back with rough sandpaper until shiny again), and are tightly fixed. Also use a multimeter on your battery directly with the car off, it should read around 12v (Thanks Mohit), if not your battery could be faulty.

Also use a multimeter on your battery directly with the car off, it should read around 14v, if not your battery could be faulty.

With the car off the voltage should be around 12V
With the car on the voltage should be around 14V
