Hey guys I'm thinking about getting some cams and cam gears done in future and I figured seeing as I'm getting the Street Fighter combo (ECU included) i want to leave the install and tune of the ECU till i get the cams and cam gears done. Question is , is it hard to install cam gears? i was thinking of getting the cams done at my mechanics and then when i go to get my ECU done (at a place with a dyno) get the cam gears dialled in? I'm still trying to learn more about these things and any info would be appreciated.

Well they need to remove the original cam gears when they install the cams, so it will be fairly simple, they have more adjustment then the factory ones (hence why you go them) so getting the timing perfect should be easier in theory.

Say i want the cam gears advanced 4 degrees. will my mechanic be able to do this? I dont know anyone who does morristech ECU's in perth south. Tim mentioned something about one being in balcatta which is other side of the city for me so i wanted to get work done up there with the ecu within a day.

Yeah he should be able to do that no issues, probably better off to let him tune it with the timing advance via the ecu though, also the cams + tune is probably take more then a day (allow 4-6 hours for cam fitment then another 4+ for tuning)
If you do a round of calls, you might find someone nearish that will be able to do the morristech

Allow up to five days for the install that's what mine took. Advance if it is auto 4 degees is what mine was first out at before I retarded them. It had more torque advance
