Hi All
I am selling my old motor and have been asked if the motor out of my 99 Magna, would fit a 3.0 litre 99 Triton. I assuming the motor is a different orientation and hence not worth the effort?

Head gasket has the same part number as the Magna 24valve motors. Can only assume...

The triton uses the basically the same setup as a pajero, so it would take alot of work to get a magna motor in a triton.

Doesn't the Pajero have a transverse motor?

Triton and Pajero have same engine orientation. The 3L in my work triton 4wd was a very torquey thing, took many people by surprise. Problem was it had a drinking problem :shhhh:

I believe if you grab a Magna engine, take the block and heads and then bolt all of the Pajero gear onto them, they will go in no issues. I think there was a difference in the sump so this would need to change, the heads and block are the same, the accs like manifolds etc you would use all of the pajeo
Now if the Triton has the same engine as Pajero it should go in
The older ford couriers used the 4g54's so would not surprise me if nissan used the mits engine
