just had my windows done on my TF advance, 27% on the doors 18% on the back windows and its going back to have a light film done on the merriors (is that legial lol) bad news is my TF was damaged when it was in the car tint place care.

last sat when they where doing the doors i went to see if it was ready and they had a truck pulled up really dam close behind it i like an inch from the rear bar, i picked the car up and low n behold have to take it back as they ran out of 27 and want to do 18 on the back, kids pointed out later that day a scratch above the towbar cover hole, on closer inspection i have scrape marks all across the rear bar that match the bull bar pattern of the truck :rant:

after having a nice conversation with the tinter and offering to insert his arms in other places the pass the buck game begins he played dumb about it then claimed the driver of the truck pulled the truck up behind mine they want to bring the truck in and my car and compare but who pays? driver or the window tint place.

i made it dam clear to them that it wasnt there when i droped the car off as it was washed and shammied before going in (pear blue impossable to keep clean) and someone is paying to have it fixed and it wont be me

im happy with the tint but not the damage *sigh* when it went back to have the rear window done in 18 a friend of mine stayed with the car to make sure it all went well

I don't think legal is an issue when you already used illegal tint :) 35% is legal.

I'm surprised a nice big yellow sticker hasn't been slapped on there. As for the scratches that's a load of crap, maybe you should get a friend to bring a truck and do some wreckless driving around the owners car ;)

photos dont do tint justice man your windows must be black as, i know mine are darker irl that in photos i tryed to take, the tinter had his lil van done in 5% and i was like nup to dark for me

ive got 5% on my cars aswell had the nice yellow sticker put on went to vic roads few days later with a p plate displayed on the outside of my car because the cop said tint was too dark and couldnt see my p's and the vic roads chick said she didnt care about my tint and was on my way :badgrin:

cars going back again tint peeling and the lasy ()&^ didnt clean the windows properly driver side rear u can see the dirt between the film and glass, think ill take of time for work for this trip in.
