Hey everyone i havnt been on here for ages and thus lost my old account... but i am back with great news of getting a third gen wagon, I still own my old manual ts v6 but need a wagon and my kind uncle who is a tow truck driver has got a 3rd gen wagon for me for $1500.

Its a little rough (passenger side rear door is kinda rippled and small ding above rear wheel arch and needs a new tail light) but for the money cant complain. Its white and an auto 3.0L.... and thats all i know lol. still need to get the key's off him and get to drive it as i have just seen the car from the outside.

I'll get pics and more details as they come but the idea for the car is SLOWLY do it back to good condition and then go from there :D

Just a few questions tho, being my first 3rd gen how do you tell the models apart by looks! i know that its not a tj or tl/tw just from the front but cannot tell about the rest so yeah any pointers?

And secondly how long before i can see the FS section, or is it gone, i havnt been on the site for about a year and yeah no FS section with new account.
*EDIT IM BLIND*
Merry Xmas everyone.
Cheers, Mikey

Hey mate. Its awesome how cheap 3rd gen magnas are these days. Know if I need something decent for a 'meantime' car I can just go grab one.

Anywho if you car isn't a TJ or a TL its either a TE, TF or TH.

Difference between'em is that TE,TF have little square reverse lights while TH's have longer sort of rectangular ones. Also TH's have a more inset grill while the TE,TF's are more forward.

But really if you want a good place to look, lift the bonnet and look at the VIN number, it'll say sumthing like 6MMTH... then alot of gibberish but yea just after the 6MM is the vehicle model. Dunno if your serious about being blind but even if you are im sure you can feel that **** out.

Once you post up a pic, someone will be able to tell you in like 30 secs flat. Any idea how many K's? But dayum, 1500 for a 3rd gen is WICKED.

you dont need 50 posts to see it just to sell stuff.you should be able to see it, the admins split the sections up a bit so maybe your looking in the wrong spot.

My guess is that it's a TH, i think that's the last of the 3.0L models... i dont remember ever hearing about a 3.0L TJ

then again, like most times, im probably wrong :P

6MMTletter in the vin, will tell you what model it is in a 3rd gen

ie: 6mmtj - is a TJ, 6mmte/f/h/l/w - te tf th tl tw
thats the easiest way to tell the difference IMO if you have acess to the vin - if its not on the rego sticker then have to pop the bonnet and have a look on the ID plate.

good score on the wagon as well - sounds like a bargain :)

There are acutally 3L TJs, the S1 TJs had a 3L or 3.5L option on the execs.
