The stock headers have developed a HUGE rattle when cold - I have narrowed it down to the flex joint / rear bank of the exhaust the exhaust place explained to me it was the inner structure that has come away from the tack welds and it is relatively common on the 3.0 and it will be about 1K to replace the headers :gtfo:
Now my noob Q - are the headers for a 3.0 and a 3.5 the same
The PN for paccys are the same PH 9370

Pacies should fit your 3.0L engine but they will sit a little bit lower

if it the flex joint why do they need to replace the whole headers.. Cut the replace flex join. I had te same issue with a set(Not Paccies) on my car and they replaced the join no problems..:)

I had the same rattle. Found out it was the pressed metal heat shielding that is bolted to the stock headers, I pulled it all off and since then the rattle has disappeared :) I did it all with the headers on the car too, the only piece of shielding to give me grief was the top half of the Y pipe, nothing a hammer can't fix.

Pacies should fit your 3.0L engine but they will sit a little bit lower

Cheers for that - the car is not overly low (kings low F & R with 17") so it should be OK

Yeah i pulled most of the heat shield off and got covered in the pink bats type material when i undone it :bowrofl: and the rattle was still there
When it was rattling if i pushed up on the flex joint it stopped
New headers next week
