I fitted verada map lights today, and it went real smooth, Worked perfectly.
So I found myself putting LED globes in to reduce the draw, and I shorted the sysem...
So the ECU reset itself, and wont stay set after restart, I have no immobiliser, no power locking, no interior lights.
I've checker every fuse in the drivers footwell.
And every fuse under the hood except this one

How in world does that yellow thing come off. So i can check that fuse, or does my problem lie somewhere else...
Thanks in advance

I had the same problem in my mates CH lancer!!
The fuse you are after IS in there (going by my mate blowing an ACC fuse, which was in that yellow case)
Use a test light to confirm it though
We just pulled it out, I would leave the yellow case off after it though, no idea why it is there. Just a PITA.
But yeah, pretty sure we used some small kincrome picks to lever it out.

Ha Ha thanks, glad I wasn't the only one...
It comes out much easier when it's in two pieces......:D
So I replaced it, But the interior lights still didn't work, what are the chances of getting both the LED bulds in the wrong way.
Problem solved...
Still wouldn't mind knowing how to get it off though...

Ah so ended up breaking...
Big chance, LED's will only work one way so you take a 50/50 chance putting them in wrong:P
But yeah, no idea why mitsu had to put the fuses in that.

if anyone is still interested in solving this problem, i had it shown to me today.
The whole yellow section can be pulled out about half an inch which unlocks the fuses, then they can be pulled out by seperating the little locking arms either side

i think the reason you blew a fuse was because LED's need to have a resistor fitted inline with them.
as LEDs have a very low resistance, so essentially its like getting the 2 wires and touching them together.
if you wire up a LED wrong nothing will happen, nothing will blow. as a diode only allows current to flow one way.
if its the wrong way and the power source is quite large, you will just blow the diode.
I=V/R
I is current
V is voltage
and R is resistance
if the resistance is low/Zero(i know you cant reach Zero but eg) you will have a high/infinate current, this is what causes the fuse to blow, as it reaches its set limit
Yea, yellow block is easy, pull it, it'll clip up and unlock the fuses, then just pull out the fuse with a fuse puller or bottle nosed plyers. Then push it back down when done.
