Because i am going to be having 125wrms running through each front speaker, i bought some nice bulky speaker wire and am now trying to rewire the stereo. I have taken the door panel thing off and i managed to get the speaker wire through the rubber that connects from the door, to the inside of the car and have got the wire through and into the drivers compartment which is good.
But i just cant seem to do the same on the left side of the car!! I have got the speaker wire running though the door, into the rubber tube bit that connects the door to the car, and that is it. I cant figure out how to grab it from the inside of the car. There are loads of boxes and 'computers' on the passengers side and i cant get my hands up to try and find the cable which i poked through!
I have tried pushing the cable into the car (Through the rubber tube thing) but the wire ends up just like going down the side of the car and i cant get it from inside the car.
I will go up there now and take a pic so you guys can kinda see what im on about...
But help will be greatly appreciated as i have been trying to get the wire through for 3 hours!! rgggggrrr
Here's a pic

*Ignore the red wire, that was a wire i was pocking through to see if i could grab it from the inside of the car....
For 125wrms you only need 16AWG wire, 12AWG if you really must.
To feed the wire, take the rubber boot off (with a large flat blade screw driver, be careful not to poke through the boot/grommet).
As you feed the wire from inside the door, straighten the boot out as much as you can, you should be able to feel the wire on the other side of the boot. Pull wire through about 50cm.
You can disconnect one of the electronic boxes to give you some room, but its best to have skinny hands.
Feed the wire through, and grab it (it can be done....).
Then put the rubber boot back on, and you're done. 15minutes of work.

Its that bold bit which i just cant do! I Feed the wire through the gromet/ opening hole into the car but i just cant find it from the inside of the car!!
Ok,
See the loom that goes through that grommet and into the car?
Follow that from inside the car, from memory its towards the front of the car. You should be able to get a finger through the hole once you follow it around, not very comfortable, but it is possible. You might have to remove that metal box that sits infront of the opening if you dont have bitch arms like I do :D
Otherwise, if you can feel the loom - you can try electrical taping the speaker wire to this loom, and pull through a little until you see the speaker wire.
take the glovebox off, theres then a plastic panel you can remove (not easily) which will give you a fair look at where your trying to get the cable through. if you still *** see it properly, unwind a coathanger and poke it through the grommet until it pops up somewhere inside the car that you can see, tie the cable do it, and pull it through.
ive got a coathanger in my install tool kit that ive been using for 4+ years, and i would have been used on 50+ seperate occasions. very handy tool

My idea beats all of yours!!! :P
Spray WD40, or basically anything that sticks, so degreaser whatever, down the grommet and on your cable
Push through *makes slipping noise* and voila, cable comes out the end
Dunno who told me this but makes sense, Its a rubber boot, and wire will only grip, Takes me about 5 minutes each door now.
hes already got it through the grommet, needs to negotiate it through the cars framework now :P
ive got a tube of KY jelly in my tool box also, smear a bit on any cable and they slip through piece of pie, and its all cleanable when your done :)

i have the same color car now with typr R splits, :) got type R 6x9 to put in the back shelf when i forget my battle with the doors/cable, also anyone know a good spot to put my crossovers
From memory the wires pop out behind that little metal box......
Basically, look where the grommet is, they pop out exactly there, just inside the car. You can get your hand there, you just cant see what you're doing - gotta learn to do things by feel  :P

THANKYOUUUU!!! :D
Pheuuwwff.
This audio setup betta be worth it. Bloody like 40 degrees outside and all these march flies biting me! Argrgrg
So happy i got that done though...
Couldnt have done it without you guys!!
Now i just have to figure out how i am going to get the rubber thing back onto the plasic bit (Thing connecting door to car)..Hmmm...
Put one side inside the hole, then squeeze it in. After you get 60% of it in, it wont go any further.
This is when you use a large screwdriver to pry it inside....careful not to damage the car.
