I bought some new component speakers the other day, and i have just noticed that in the boxes they came in, I have these little stricky black things (In a little bag). They are thin strips and they are wrapped in paper. I got six small ones with my components (around 2cm long each) in a little bag.
Does anybody know what these are for?

Are they sticky on both sides?
They might be a form of double sided tape so you can mount your crossovers somewhere with out drilling in to your car or leave them dangling.

Yes they are sticky on both sides, but not incredibly sticky. Just sticky enough to hold something together i think. And they are very soft.
Hmm...

They may be a sealant of some sort, say your putting the driver in the speaker hole the black things may act a a buffer of sorts between the driver and hole. Prob help to cut on vibration.
Mine came with foam rings and was used for that reason to cut vibration. This may be the same thing.
