hi guys my latest little mod i did was 380 w/shield washers (water squirters) onto my kl THESE ARE NOT A DIRECT FIT you will need patience and a steady hand. i personally prefer the "mist" spray of the 380 hence why i changed mine but each to their own.
first take the original sprayers out , use the new 380 one as a templete (the rear section may just fit) but its basically a process of trial fitting, next use a dremel or other rotary tool to grind the original openings out a bit, keep trial fitting until the 380 ones sit nice and tight, remove, sand the raw metal back smooth and use touch up to cover the bare paint you have just grinded, next install the washers. pretty simple job but u need patience and a steady hand if you rush you will stuff it up and prob need a new bonnet so use at own risk!!!
should look like this

Guess that's the only difference, doesn't seem worthwhile to me, especially with the risk of the bonnet involved

i buy parts alot cheaper than most n here =) lets say around the 20-40 mark all up personally i prefer the mist sprayers as you get better coverage on the glass than the stock twin sprayers i noticed this with alot of the new cars i used to testdrive and work on, most manufacturers re shifting to the mist sprayers

i wanted to do this too, but im not sure i like the idea of grinding away the bonnet... il slip and scratch the whole thing up.... lol
the mist is def better - the twin jets kinda.. are lame if they arnt aimed correctly

or you can save time, money and effort by using a small pick to make the jets cross water streams thus creating a mist. Not as fine as a 380s but a free mod nonetheless.

You grid it from underneath ;) then "IF" you slip its not noticeable anyway.

I wanna do this, but I will try to mod the sprayer not my bonnet.
The spray coverage on the 380 is complete, thorough, and fast, ideal if you are the type who loves a clean windscreen.
A small mod, but worthwhile (for some (WOFTAMfor others)), good job!!!!
You, sir, are a pioneer!

Hired a 380 in Tassie a while back and have been waning to do this myself.
The sprayers are great, just make sure you cover the area of the bonnet with some masking tape.
WIll have to pull my finger out and get a set me thinks

Nice work man!
Totally agree about doing the grind down from under the bonnet but if you have to remove the bonnet pad from the inside of the bonnet, you risk breaking clips and putting dirty folds in the pad which will make it full apart eventually unless done with alot of care.
Best stuff to use for touch-up is etch primer before putting colour.
Putting colour straight over metal wont stop it from corrosion but it does help for things like stone chips and scratches of a small degree because moisture gets under colour easily and thats were the etch primer help.
Etch primer would be suitable as there is water in the area of this conversion!
None the less, great job and might think of doin it myself when i get more sleep and energy :D

You can not do this from under the bonnet as the frame will be in the way
I used a small file and took me about 10 mins tops for each side. If you are not confident put a heap of wide masking tape around the hole you are filing. If you use a Dremil you are much more likely to slip and take off paint
The squirters cost $11.45 from my local dealer, they also said that many people with holens and fords have been getting them in as they all love them.
Some tips
Take out the valves that mits put in your third gen washer line (little white joiners with a ball bearing in them) as these will restrice the flow. The 380 washers have this inbuilt
I have also fitted a second pump in mine and plummed the jets separately as they need a little more pressure than the std Mits ones

they pop/push out from underneith.
while refitting the washer feed line to my standard washer jets, wasnt on properly, and it pushed the jet out of the bonnet.
which then resulted in the next 20minutes of a FUN game called - find the washer jet.
i still havnt gotten around to this myself, eventually i will!
EDIT - i pushed my washer jets out WITHOUT removing the bonnet mat too....
