Has this ever happened to anyone?

I noticed it yesterday as I was coming along the Pacific Highway, and again today when I went to start the car for work. The light either doesn't come on at all, or flickers when the key is switched to ON. The light doesn't seem to come on when the engine's running.

The ECU is reading 13.7v with the engine running, and my little battery tester-thingy shows that the alternator is ok, again with the engine running. When the engine's off, the battery shows up as partially charged.

Another thing - the engine seems to crank fine, but stumbles for a couple of seconds when it fires.

I'm yet to check the alternator relay, or the charging voltage, but so far I'm thinking the battery is fritzed - anyone else think the same?

Thanks in advance guys :D

Battery might be dropping its bottom end out.

Have you considered checking to see if its got water?

I just had this problem in my TF and all it was that caused it was a fault plug on the alternator cost me $20 to fix and hasn't done it again.

Did you put a new plug on or fix the old one?

when running, shouldnt a multimetre across the terminals be reading somehere above/around 14.5V?
was what iv always worked on.

check terminals are tight and check to see if it has enough water in the battery too.
