Ok so the exhaust on my Sports is rusted to all hell. I need a new centre section at least, but my muffler is fine. Now I've been looking at the Redback system, and I want to know, with no bulls*** or keyboard warrior crap, DOES IT DRONE AT 110KMPH??? I have searched for bloody ages, can't find a straight answer anywhere. Does anyone have a sound clip of one, or does anyone actually have one, and have something constructive to say about them.
Thanks, Aaron.

My brother had a full redback system in his VL and it was pretty droney at all km/hr

cheers mate. How droney, compared to the standard Sports/VR-X exhaust, which some people think is pretty bad?

As many people on the forums will agree, the most similar aftermarket muffler to the standard Sports/VRX muffler is the Lukey LR2779.

Some people reckon the LR2779 sounds a tiny bit more 'ricey' than the standard Sports/VRX muffler, but you'd be hard pressed to know the difference. In fact, if you're driving sedately, 9 out of 10 people won't even pick that you have a sports muffler.

In terms of dronability, the LR2779 is no louder than the standard Sports/VRX muffler at a constant 100km/h cruise

Quite a few members here have gone down this route before

yeah ive heard about lukeys and all that. But i want to know about redback, not lukey, my car is a sports, and has that muffler already, which is fine. But the centre section of my exhaust is knackered, and i can get a full redback catback for a little more than the standard price, hence the asking about redback exhausts.

My stock VR-X muffler is droney when you drive at a steady 2000RPM (80kph in 5th), anywhere else it's not droney at all, definitely not when cruising at 110 on the motorway (which is about 2800rpm in my manual).

Thats good, mines manual.
Mitchell0, i agree, i never considered mine droney but some people think they are. Just using as sort of a comparison. Thanks all, might just buy the redback system, if i dont like it, it will end up in the for sale section i guess!
