Hey guys,
Just wondering.. Is it safe to run the remote wire for an amp on the same side as RCAs?
Cos I got excited when I took it all out to put my new RCAs in, and accidentally ran it on the same side..
I don't wanna have to take it all apart again.. Maybe I can do it without actually taking the console out..
Thanks

I think it was mainly the power you have to worry about, Naf all power runs through that signal wire.. I wouldn't rerun it if its already in.

im pretty sure the remote wire is only carrying a small amount of current through it. so it should not affect the sound in any way at all.
most off the shelf rca's come with the remote wire joined into it anyway

That's pretty much what I was thinking, hopefully the RCAs agree!

Nice, that's a good sign then.
Remote wire holds a very low amount of power, just enough to say "IM ON!"
Nothing to worry about provided your RCA's are sheilded, no way in hell it'll breach quad sheilded RCA's.

And you could always go down to repco and get a $15 noise filter if your that concerned...

No idea what type of shielding they have, they're stinger Pro Level 3, but I can't read anywhere on the box what type it is.
Eh, I'm sure it'll be fine, I won't worry until something effs up :D
Oh also, it made me think about something, My desktop speakers make a "pop" sound whenever my bar fridge kicks in. It can't be the source, because I'm running optical, but would it be messing with the amp, or the speaker wire?

Electrical interference breaching the speaker wire OR AV lines. try using some plastic sleaving to isolate the wires a bit.

Alright, I'll have a go, thanks.

Remote gets run with the rcas in every car i do.
You will not have any problems. Amd if you do the remote is not the cause of it.
Someone mentioned about the rca's with remote wires run up the middle. I NEVER use that wire for a remote. the wire is was to brittle in all i've seen and will break causing you to have to re run a real trigger anyway, so do it right the 1st time :)

With decent RCA's you wont have a problem pretty much where ever you run them. With average ones just keep them away from power cables as best as possible but it's not critical. Crap RCA's will pick up the signal from any crappy power wire you have around.
