255 might be too wide and will foul against the shock absorber.

Not to mention it will have sloppy sidewalls

NTM you will look like a spanner with wider tyres at the front than at the rear.

:bowrofl: yer i guess,i would replace the rears with something wider but there still like brand new after 40k

with regards to sloppy side walls i don't think that would be a problem as these tyres have a reinforced sidewall which would help

so i shouldn't have any problems with 245's? just don't wanna spend $800 on tyres and find out they scrub on something

go the 245's tyson
have them on my car and have no problems what so ever, and my rims are the same size as yours
the thing is that these tyres are abit more then the 235's
was at my local tyre shop on friday and they had heaps of 235/40/R18's with a 95 load rating

What i mean about sloppy sidewalls is going a tyre too wide for the rim, you get what they call sloppyness which is more movement when cornering in the sidewall, thats why you see some people running like 215's on a 8.5 or 9 inch rim, no sidewall flex at all.

Youtube tyre stretching and it shows how it works.
