Just got a call from the sister inlaw that her radiator GEN 1 has spit on the side pissing out water. Now i have a GEN 2 radiator can anyone confirm if they bolt in GEN 1's or can be moded to fit?

no idea bud.... FAIK they change quite a bit from 1st gen >2 gen

first look at te outlet and inlet sides are the same.... look at basic mounting points for similarity, same with size and so fourth...

hey if it fits in there and can be plumbed up, a bit of wire will hold the thing in there if its just a runabout...lol

OK... Its not a bolt on job as i had thought.

GEN 1 is 375x648x32
GEN 2 is 400x728x32

I had only rocked up with the GEN 2 radiator/hoses to find that someone else has already removed the busted radiator. So no GEN 1 hoses, fans, brackets etc etc.. Anyway to get her running the GEN 2 radiator just slots in between the rails perfect, held by a plentyful of nylon ties. GEN 2 hose all ok also and just rewire the GEN 2 fans to the GEN 1 loom.

Has been over 10 days and running strong. I have advised her to bring it back to my place so i can make proper mounts and rewire the fan loom permanantly. I will try get pics next time.
