Tried the Wynns before and it didn't do too much... I put in a bottle of STP super concentrated friday night and the car struggles to keep BELOW redline now lol Also gave the throttle body/isc/intake manifold a good clean with carby/throttle cleaner.

The only proper way to clean is to ultrasonic clean them.
No bottle product is capable of cleaning all the carbon and also flow testing the injectors to check that they are spraying ok.
Bottle products are good for removing moisture etc but that is about it.

lol, that sounds expensive
I have used bottle cleaner everytime i service the car lately and it doesnt seem like it makes much of a difference. Might have to give the ultrasonic cleaning a go. How much does this usually cost?
Any recomendations for places? I live in Perth.

Just before my bingle i had the injectors sonicated and the difference was noticable. Cost me $180 i think but was well worth it.

The bottled stuff is more a preventative measure...get them ultrasonically cleaned and then use a bottle every 3rd-4th tank (I think that's right) and it will prolong their cleanliness

I saw an ultrasonic bath sell on ebay just last week for $88 dollars AU, might be worth checking it out.

the baths are fairly easy to find. the only problem is getting your hands on the two fluids they use which are hard to get and very expensive. then you have to have the machine that checks the flow to. take them to a mechanic. heaps easier. and that came from my mate who is a mechanic and does it for me for free.
