hey guys. my dad has an 03 magna (gas only) and the fuel gauge isnt working properly. it reads empty and starts to beep around the half a tank mark. it has at least 200kms worth of gas left in it when it does this.

at 1 stage the car ran outa gas and the gauge was reading half a tank and the beeping noise didnt go off.

could this be something to do with the fuel sensor being stuffed. my dad drives taxis and its the same for those magnas too..

has this happened to any1 else on here?

cheers stuart

Maybe barking up the wrong tree but the fuel sender is the problem?

My guage started reading wrong, $90 and half hour later was all good again.

If it's gas as in LPG, then maybe go back to the fitter?

ah thanks for that... thought it was something along those lines...

oh and its factory fitted gas. (dedicated gas) means only gas and no petrol.

OK, then I am up the wrong tree. No idea how the factory gas works - sorry!
