Have been shopping around and found some Narva round foglights (there are 2 sizes 70 and 85mm). Maybe owners of cars with factory fitted lights can help. The wiring diagrams on the boxes all show power off-take for activating the relay to come from low beam. This means low beam will need to be on when using foglights. On cars with factory fitted foglights can one operate the foggies with park lights? I imagine having foggies on with low beam will result in too much glare. Is it legal to operate foglights with low beam only. Please note I am referring to foglights, not driving lights/spotlights.

Nah,dont bother, just grab a supply inside from a "accessory" source, run this through a aftermarket switch on the dash then onto the 85 terminal on the relay as the trigger, that way they will go off when you turn of the car and can work independantly of the other lights,oh,and yes,fog lights can be operate on park aswell, this is from the factory in my TW VRX,this is usually because in heavy fog,you turn of your main beams and drive with fog lights on alone, for better visabilty as the main beams are above the fog line

Also, dont worry about what others say,it IS illegal to use fog light in most states (could be all) if there is no adverse conditions (ie fog!),and its been clamped down on by he fuzz here in SA,rightly so too,cos as you said, without a layer of fog to blanket the fog lights beam, you create glare for othe road users, but good on you for considering others drivers mate

any dramas post back mate
