Hey peoples, just did some painting in my car, what do you think?

that looks excellent! what colour is the outside of the car? planning on doing anymore retrimming? the door skins look very easy to do... the material part just unscrews from the back:-)

BTW, did you have any dramas getting the top vent section back in?
I can't get the RHS of mine back in:cry:

i used a Tamiya Polycarbonate paint...expensive but good ****.
my car is silver, doing black and red trim,
yep, going to do my dials and steering wheel.

good to see everyone like it...makes me proud :D

The paint cost me $10 and they are available from any good hobby shop...the cans arnt that big and you may need a few.

whats the exact color, as i have decided you just found my dash color which i have been looking for since january. also how many cans did you use and was there an under coat or overcoat done.and preprotary stages?

The colour is Tamiya PS-2 Red, so far i have only used 3 ($30) cans, 2 coats...still have a bit to do, probly going to use another 3 cans...

i went to grab some PS-4 today (blue) pretty sure it sthe same stuff. (has to be, its the same code) and the guy reconed it wouldnt be very good. he said i prolly wouldnt get the gloss/coat/finish im after. cos they sue it for in the insides of the model cars, the polycarbonate stuff.

hhhmm thoughtsd anyone?

P.S. he said i should try the actual model paint stuff (which they didnt have any) pffft i though this was a model shop. lol

A red Ralliart steering wheel & instrument dials would look shmick with that paint job!

Or perhaps some red backlit VR-X / Sports instrument dials & matching red underbody & interior neons?

Nah urs would look alot better if u didnt paint the whole thing red, like the cup holders, ash tray, hazard switch, etc... sorry but thats is my opinion, but everything else looks hot :clap:

thaty looks really good man, some of the pics if seen of other cases look a bit bodged, when i look at customised mods that you do yourself i think would i pay for this in a shop? quality? effort? money? and i think you have done well.
