View Full Version : TL Horn Faulty - Any Ideas

My TL Horn failed once before but came good again, now its dead.
I have been told its common but whats the fix ??

Check the connections to the horn i.e. pull them on and off a couple of times. And for the earth of the horn, remove horn, clean and re-attach.
A bad earth is the most common problem, and being intermittent usually rules out the fuse, after that check the relay. Unplug and re-plug. Actually you can do that first, its the easiest to do.

But if you get a horn of an AU ford grab the mount and 6 inches of wire and it can be installed in the place, giving the horn way more Oooomph.

All Magna horns are a fail from the factory.

Check your relays and fuses! In the box above/left of the battery in the engine bay.

definately replace all the fuses, even if they work perfectly fine, replace them anyway:bowrofl:

Again Dean...If something does not work, check the fuse, if it does, do not check the fuse.
Loose connection for sure.

It's not working so its one of 3 things...

1. ****ed
2. Relay jammed
3. Loose connection

it's a known fault on the TL's
have to take it back to mitsi so they can replace the horn assembley
mine just stopped working for some reason, took it back and the had to replace it
