So, today I hopped in the car after it'd been sitting there all day in the heat (gf was driving) and as she gos to take off she gos to check the rear vision mirror and discovers its not there!

The bloody thing fell off!

So, now I have concluded its time for a new one, and better glue!

The part where there is suppose to be a mirror

The metal clip that is supposed to be glued to the windscreen

The reason I'm replacing the mirror instead of glueing it straight back on (note the bubbled edges)

Just thought I'd share :)

Hm...seems to look like the same thing that happened to mine - well except minus the heat.

lol mate ripped a mooney at my soccer coach after training and his head smacked the mirror off, and a large chunk of glass, 3L of super glue later - no luck....so had to get a new windscreen.

Nothing wrong with it. Go fast Windscreen obrian and get them to glue it back on..:)

mine did the exact same thing a while ago, just go to autobarn and get the special 'rear view mirror window glue'
it works fine, not one problem since

Yeh, special stuff from autobarn - make sure you clean both surfaces though!

Very low grit wet/dry sandpaper is a good option - gives a slightly less smooth surface for the glue to tack to.
