stock readout ATW
i am after the power readings for 3rd gen's! stock TH-TJ exec, VR-X and a RALLI//ART.. then a power a aprox power of a super charged EXEC!... answers asap would be great!!!!!! thanks ATW and at the fire wall.. if known!

Manuals or Autos? Manual I would guess...

Exec - 110 - 115
VRX - 120 - 130
Ralliart - 125 - 135
Supercharged Exec - 150-160


Give or take 10% difference for autos.

Depends on the age i guess? TH exec are 150kW, TJ exec are 155, VR-X are 163, Ralliart are 180. Supercharged varies depending on type and setup. All are crank figures.

My TJ Sports series 1 manual made 127kw atw on a mainline dyno, only difference between that and the exec would be the muffler, wouldn't be too much atw, only 8kw at the engine. Oh and it had 127,572km, made max power at 5200~rpm. Got the sheet in front of me now.

5200rpm sounds about normal for a stock Magna. My Ralliart made max power at about 5400rpm with pacemakers and a full exhaust.

was referring to the fact that it said 52,000 RPM as opposed to 5,200 RPM

I could be wrong - but I've never heard of any car that makes power at the fire wall.

my TJ sports auto made 115kwatw with extractors only 137kw with plenum and cam mods.

The TH had 147kw not 150,and the differance is also cams as well as muffler to get to the 163kw

From what I've heard, for dyno comps Mainline dynos are pretty good, have a setting that puts everyone on level ground apparently. For tuning (which is what a dyno is really built for) I have no idea, I guess it all comes down to whos swinging the spanners more than anything.

Most dynos do.

Its called shootout mode. All settings are locked so the operator cannot alter anything except the air temp humidity barometric pressure and intake temp.

an auto 3.5 with a 6.5 - 7.0 psi Sprintex kit will pull between 150 and 170kw atw depending on tune and other mods.

3.5L KJ XI - (auto ofcourse)

stock cept for rear muffler - 118kw @ wheels

different dyno's will give differing readouts.. it'd say diciple has pretty much hit it on the head..

i'll be going back to the same dyno soon to do another power run with the modified Pacemakers/highflow metal cat.. just buy fitting them so far there is a huge increase in mid range power.. the 2 graph's should display this significantly..
