2000 TJ Solara Wagon

Hi,

For sometime now, the radio looses is code intermittently and I have to re-enter it.

Today I didn't turn on the radio but noticed the security light was still flashing while driving. Attempted to turn on the radio but no go.

Do these thing have any known history of similar problems or should I just get the schematics out and hunt for a loose wire or open fuse?

Only thing i can think of is a bad connection on the memory wire causing it to lose the code.

Oh, you have one of those too?

I checked my earth wire and found it to be high resistance (ie: bad earth). Running the earth wire from the radio to a metal bracket next to the radio solved the problem.
