The interior light in the TS is a piece of crap. anyone knows of a possible bulb upgrade available in the shops? I have been to autobarn n places. all i can find is the standard bulb. I need something that provides more light, not color...

i got it from alberts in perth, but i think some decent audio/accesories shop might stock them
Jaycar's got some White LED plugin replacements for most bulbs. Try there.

killbilly and i have 12v 50watt halogen down lights in ours, around $8 for the globe and about 1/2 an hour of your time will have you casting shadows from inside the cabin in broad daylight!!lol,, has to be seen to be beleived, and yes , it does work!!!( just for the record, i had mine first!!)

Yes the halogen light is awesome!!!!
I'll get pics soon
Or, there's that method...
Dont the halogens draw an unholy amount of electricity and generate a ****load of heat?
how did you make it so the battery doesnt go flat / burn a hole in your roof liner when its on for longer than a few minutes?

Nope they're fine. Sure they get hot..but they dont burn anything.
I'm going to fix mine a little more and get the proper clip that they click into and then it'll work like a charm.
They dont draw that much power to flatten the battery after a few minutes, i've left it on for ages with the car off and it was fine.
atm the setup I have is a bit dodgey, I used the metal part from the top of a cigarette lighter as a bracket to hold the globe. The prob is that it's only held in by solder...so the light heats up and the solder gets weak and the light falls out lol so hence my search for the actual clip that holds the light in. :dancin:
Oh just make sure you put some tape over the pins if they're sticking out the bracket you make, I forgot, the pins hit the roof and I blew a fuse haha!

the main problem that i have is that the heat melts the solder holding the wires on to the globe!!! but as far as the roof burning, no problem so far!!
