I took out the windscreen washer bottle (on my TJ) and found this bracket just laying on its side underneath the bottle, not attached to anything!

It looks like it just hold on some bumper part or similar but cant work out wht..

Maybe someone may recognise it? :pray:

it supports the wire that goes to the alternator
look in your engine bay and behind the left headlight you'll see the wire running from the alternator to i think under the washer bottle :confused:
you'll see a hole around the area on the chassy before it dips down
should be acouple of metal pipes running along the chassy where the hole will be
i'll get a pic up in a sec of where its ment to go

Aha..

In the attached the yellow circled hole is where the spike in the washer bottle goes, I cant seem to see any other holes though

I see whats happened now, the nut just up and to the right of the yelloqw circle has been used together with a cable holder thing to hold one of the metal pipes where as the bracket should go there and the holder should hold the alternator wire (where someone has put yellow tape) instead of the pipe!

but yeah looks like someone took the cheap way out, looks like the clips missing off the wire too
yep, thats the bolt just above the yellow circle in the pic, remove the bolt as that bolt hold the bracket down to
bracket goes on the chassy first, then the clip for the metal pipes
could cable tie the alternator wire to the bracket until you find a bolt, but seeing as you have the bracket out might as well get one for it
