I bought some speakers from strathfuild car audio the other day for a friend and i got the cheapest set i could get

4" panasonic 2way
Zeus 300watt 6x9

And they sound better than my
pioneer 6x9
vdo 6.5"

Also:

I would like to upgrade my sub sound, and looking at spending 250 or 300 any one sugest or can get a deal for some cheap stuff to blow my magna to bitz?
please help us set up my magna!!!

is boss a good brand? theres a guy selling 400watt amp + 12" boss sub for 300 is that a good deal?

i have a sony 12" (1200 watt peak) sub and audioline (400 watt RMS) amp, i got both form strathfied, the sub (boxed) is $200 and the amp was $100

this goes well enough to pop my roof up and down a good centimeter and has really good clarity from a cheap amp

You could probably get your hands on second hand alpine type R subs, or JL W3 subs for about $250. Both of these subs are a good choice. Boss arnt that bad, and it seems like a good deal.
