So basically my speedo randomly decides to stop working every now and then, sometimes a bump can cause it, other times it will just stop, everything else in the dash cluster works, nut when speedo dies odometer goes with it too..
Any suggestions guys?

have you checked if any of the plugs on the cluster is loose?

undo the 2 screws holding the cluster surround in, and remove the surround. There are 3 screws holding the cluster in, remove them, then remove the cluster. R + R is 10 mins max.
wher in VIC are you, i could always guve you a hand if u need.

First thing to check is the sonnection on the speed sensor.
This is located on top of the trans, similar ideal to the cable a lot of cars have but is a sensor that sends a pulse to the speedo The plugs can get dirty, the wires can break and the sensor can also play up.
I would leave the dash until last, although only need to undo a few screws to get the cluster out, may as well start where is most likely
If you need help, sing out, I do a lot of work on vic members cars
