I have a 2000 model TH Magna and have a few questions
Firstly I'd like put a TJ transmition into my TH and was wondering what I'd have to do to get it working, is it as simple as swapping out the transmition and dash or do i have to replace the ECU and the such.

Also I'd like to put a digital climate control system from either a TJ or a Verada, is this viable or not.
Thats about it for now, sorry for all the noob questions hopefully someone can help me out

Edited. I just took a look at the Fusionbrain system and was wondering if it is possible to control my climate control with it.

if the TJ gearbox has the same features as your current gearbox then it should be a straight swap

as for the climate control, it can be done but it isnt worth it
you'll be better off buying a car with it already

A 4 speed auto would go straight in, since its the same transmission. A 5 speed tiptronic transmission would require a lot of things to be changed - I can't remember off the top of my head, but the verdict seems to be that it's too complicated to be worth while. Not sure about a 4 speed tiptronic...

It's possible, but not really viable.

theyre good things to have in a car. but i think you'll find its cheaper to sell yours and buy one with the gear you want in it. not suggesting you do that, but especially if you're paying for labour, theyre some expensive mods

nah, half the reason I want to do the mods is to have fun putting them in with my mates, so apart from drinks labour is free.

From what I can see of the stock TH climate control it shouldn't be hard to use a system like Fusion, with some small motors to wind the cables, and the thermostat attachment and whatnot to make a digital one.

Also, I've found a TH at my local wreckers with power windows and cruise control which I'm planning to add to mine.

Yeah I'd be better off getting a newer model, with all of that, but then I miss out on half the fun... Unfortunatly I'm going to be someowhat delayed in my plans thanks to a not so nice run in with the police :cry:

Not sure on the TH but the TF needs the entire internal wiring loom changed over if you want cruise and fast glass

I am in the process of doing mine at the moment, You will also need the TB and Vac pump from the TH for the cruise,. The plugs are already in the engine bay for the vac pump, TB is bolt on with a vac hose to the pump.

If you are going to look to change trans, you are better off trying to get your hands on a wreck and do a total swap over

I have just done the fast glass upgrade to my TH, the only wiring mod needed, apart from replacing the wiring in the doors, is the whole drivers side loom has to be replaced, it runs from the fuse box all the way down the right side of the car and into the boot, the left side loom is fine, if you want factory cruise in a TH that never came with it, the loom doesn't have the conectors to fit it, I was going to fit this mod but the job was going to be too big, to replace the main loom from the engine bay into the car was just to big a job, so I just settled for the Electric windows.
