Hi All, got a TP elite wagon on Dual Fuel, trying to get the car to idle is getting a bugger. On petrol, it is fine, but when on LPG, it idles till the radiator fan kicks in, then it labors and finally stalls. If I set the A/C on, it seems to idle reasonably OK most of the time regardless of which fan is going. I understand that the throttle is opened up a notch with the A/C, but I am buggered if I can figure why the normal radiator fan would cause the motor to stall.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated :bowrofl:as usual :D.

Cheers for now

My 2c would be to take it back to the people who installed your LPG setup and get them to adjust it for you. Someone on here might know how to do it, but for the peace of mind knowing im not going to stuff something up, id take it back and for the 5 mins work adjust the idle....

Hope it all works out.

Taking it back is in the master plan:pray:, but whilst they will do a service, I am concerned that there is something else involved. As I said, it is fine on petrol, but on LPG, when only the radiator fan cuts in it stalls the motor. If it was A/C, I could understand the connection, but when it is just the Rad fan, well that has me concerned as to why just an electric fan can cause the motor to stall. This is what I would really like to know I guess.

Fan might be shorting out your electrics? I dont know... theres too many variables. It might just be one crossed wire, simple mistake. Hope it doesnt mean $$$ but dont be affraid to get a 2nd opinion. Ive heard a lot of dodgey things been done on cars who have had LPG installed and wanting to rip people off like you wouldnt believe.

All the best
