Does anyone know what the ciggie lighter is rated? I'm thinking of buying an inveter for camping and it needs 15A.

dont think it will carry that much,i think it is rated at 5-10 amps,go check the fuse rating for it near the kick panel or under the bonnet,that is the maximum that circuit should carry,i would run a new 4mm or above wire direct from the battery or a decent igniton feed (up to you) and a hella type h/d plug so it doesnt fall out

im almost certain its no where near 15amp

I think its the same as my stop lights (10a) as I could swear I swapped it over once

look at the cover for the ciggy lighter fuse, it should have the rating on it. i pretty sure its a 15 amp fuse.
