Awesome man!
Was gonna get my one high flowed but not really worth it if they are that size stock.
Not bad if ya pushing 400+Hp.

High flowing is still recommended if you want neck snapping throttle response,i dont think the problem lies in the size of the butterfly as i heard they can support some hefty horsepower, but in the casting dags and the lip around the entrance etc slowing down the airspeed, see Ezyboys thread on this stuff,he is a wizard!

Stock TB's on the 3000GT twin turbo's can still flow 750HP fine.
(TB is about 65mm aswell)

Cheers lads!
I'll check out EZboys thread!
If you have an auto, one of EZ Boys streamlined TB's makes a world of difference to response.

Won't make your car go any faster. save the $100. spend it on a muffler which will make the car faster.

Already got the muffler :P
Tuff, trust me it is worth every bloody cent of the $100. The extra response is worth it. dont care that it wont make it faster. At part throttle, there is more urge which means less throttle travel to do the same acceleration and less fuel consumption

He might already have one!,I like any mod that improves drivabilty and throttle response of a car as it makes it so much more enjoyable to peddle around,it not all about speed sometimes IMO,but the delivery, thats why the throttle body is excellent value and so may enjoy it

I still am not a firm believer, Sorry, but carry on.

the high flow tb was one of the best mods i did on my magna, value for money wise
totally changed the drivability of the car, much smoother and punchier

Do EZY boys TB's actually have a larger butterfly or are they just smoothed on either side

Plu----eeessse tell me how the fuel economy of the car will change?
The car is still going to measure the ammount of air flowing and adjust the ammount of fuel accordingly then check to make sure it got it right by looking at the o2 sensor.

standard butterfly, he just makes it flow better by removing a majority of the lip inside the tb, im sure he has pics on his fs thread

I cannot explain how it reduces my fuel consumption technically, but I do know that the engine now pulls harder lower in the rev range, and allows me to reach cruise speed using less throttle travel. On hills it is great because with cruise on, it doesnt kick down so easily and easily cruises up the same hills as before but in a higher gear

With the high flow TB, it has a lot to do with fuel consumption and your actual TPS (your butterfly postion vs what the sender reads) because you are able to control your acceleration a hell of a lot better then standard you can in theory get better economy, when i had mine fitted, the throttle was a lot snappier and responsive, no idea on fuel consumption as my blower was fitted that same day.
Ian will be able to provide a more indepth guide on how it works
thats it, its all about controlling the throttle better, which is only a good thing in a 4 sp auto. It is bloody responsive off the line, even switching the cruise on gives a quick surge which takes a bit of getting used to
