hey guys,

i got a slight problem. im running stage 1 sports ryder springs all round with spacers on the rims on the back of the car, with ground effects flares on my guards and 18 inch rims with 235/40r18 tyres. with this combination it has caused my tyres to smash into my flares one to many times, and today knocked all the clips of the flare except the screw holding it. so does anyone else have this problem? iv modified one of my flares to try and fix the problem but cutting them where it hits, but it still does it arrrrg

im thinking of taking the flares of and getting the guards rolled. when rolling the guards does this make the guard lower persay, like flares do, as well as making the guards wider? i dont want to loose the height i got and the gap between the flare and the tyre. i dont really want to change the springs over on the car. my other option is to change the springs over to stiffer springs, but i havent really got the money for this option, what do people think?

hey guys,

i know some of you like pictures, this is the damage. the cut of the flare WAS smooth but because of the impact it snapped some more of and cracked it, i grabbed the cracked bits and they basically fell of.

i have herd of members smashing them off before. so many remove them,
thats y im not getting any installed.
i would roll the guards, they basically push the lip u can feel if you put your hand up inside the guard. its not really pushing it out as such

Pedders are a big part of your issue, they sag like no tomorrow. What start of as lows end up as superlows in no time at all.

YOu should be able to run 18's with the wheel arch flares no issue, depending on offset HRD2GT on the forums has 18's with no issues
