Hi Guys,
I met my mate in India who has a factory there. I was discussing him about the chroming on the plastic. After several arguments, he asked why dont you make a scuff plate in aluminium instead of chroming ? He has some power machines where you can bend the aluminium in the same shape. I was wondering if any one has drawings with measurement for scuff plates ? He would be happy to test the prototype and send it over to us. If this is sucessful, i would ask AMC people to approve under "group buy". Thanks
PS : Laser Eatching is possible as well !

Couldn't you just send him the scuff plates over?

Couldn't you just send him the scuff plates over? The problem is indian customs - they will not allow any thing with out an invoice and hassle to go to them and release the item

If you have the scuff plates in question I could model them up and get drawings produced for them or
photos of what you are doing so I could find some in brizzy, If I have the parts in question It's only
time to get drawings produced ( these would be in ISO standard ) as I am a draftsman.
This is some of my work from home It's an RC rockcralwer I currently have.

Mate, we have sent things to friends in India before and also received from India.
I think you will find it is an issue when you are sending large amounts of goods, but 4 scuff plates even with a note inside saying, "this will make your car look better" for when they open to inspect would suffice.

Hi there, I had sent few parts for my dad's car (bulbs etc) and he was hassled by the customs for few hundred bucks. Trust me - I am from that place :)
