take it to mitsubishi to get the SRS computer reset/codes checked

Could be the fuse. The SRS light is displayed when there is a short in the circuit, which either means a blown fuse or the air bag has been deployed or broken the circuit. In the case of a fuse, the SRS ECU should reset the error code when the circuit is returned to normal, that's the theory anyway.

If the code doesn't reset automatically it jams the error in the system which is when you need to hook up a diagnostics computer either at Mitsubishi or a mechanics to manually reset it. Mitsubishi charge $77 for such privledge last time I asked.

From memory it actually shares with something stupid, like the horn I think. Probably best off reading through one of the service manuals if you have one handy to suit.

Low battery voltage can cause warning lights to come up on the dash. Happened today on a VT I had to do a RWC on. Traction Control, ABS and SRS light came on, but once I connected Tech2 and cleared DTCs, no problems.

yeh so i checked the fuses my manual sed the indicators so i checked them 2 of them seemed to be huge chunky ones wer im not sure how to check if the fuse is broken and then i checked the horn ones and they seemed to b fine.
how do u check the big ones 2 see if they r broken or not?

you mean the fusible links?,they have have a viewing window to allow you to see the link and if its broken, these are usually on the high current stuff, charge circuit, start etc,or you can pull them out and stick the probes of a multi meter up its bum to test for continuity

hey i had same prob and auto elec charged me 30 bucks to clear the code, it came up after i jumpstarted a old battery, an stayed on even after i got a replacement. i then got hold of a second gen owners manual and it said if this happened you could turn the key from off to on ten times and it would remove the light. try it!! ya never know. .
