So the last couple of days iv'e noticed that my boot on my TJ won't open when i press either the remote button or the one in the glovebox. I can hear the solenoid but the boot doesn't release.

Anyone know what may need adjusting and how to do it?

Open it with the key, use the remote while open and see if the wire is pulling. It may have either snapped or come loose...

Ok i just fixed it, there is a plastic arm that can be switched from 'lock' or 'free' never noticed that before, must have knocked it when i installed my reverse cam the other day. Easy fix that one :D

Oh haha, forgot about that one... I really should remove that on mine, if it gets locked I'm not gonna be able to open the boot :P Shaved garnish...

Thats part of the valet security. The only way to access the boot will be via the key when it is locked with that switch in the lock position. It is similar to the child lock on doors.

I noticed theres a couple of holes in the metal arm just above the plastic one, it looks a bit like it could accomodate a pin to possibly lock it where you might want it, check it out life before your trapped out.

I removed the metal arm in mine, it goes to the keyhole :)

Removing it is excellent for reducing boot rattles...

In that case, read my above post... possible snapped cable.

When i checked mine i opened the boot and watched while i turned the key, note the movement in the lock then press your button and see if it has the same movement.
