Hi Guys,
I need to remove my entire dash , can anyone give me a heads up as to an easy way?? How much time should it take me? And Do i need to remove everything else before I take it out or can I leave any parts in?
Searchy came up with no help, so any appreciated!
Thanks,
Bonnie
Not sure if this counts for Magna's, but for every dash I've pulled out, unless you can lower the steering wheel, its a good idea to remove it.
If you have an airbag, you might get complications if battery is left connected, or you accidently disconnect any wires.
Apart from that - goodluck, I hate pulling any dash out, its a right royal PITA.
Time? two people should get it done within 3-4hours. Just keep undoing bolts until its free :P

Hi there. I can only offer some POV from a 2nd gen perspective here.
Took me about 90 minutes. just remove upper speaker grilles, glovebox section, under steering wheel colum section, entire centre console section, most bolts should be visible by now.
Only thing in the 2nd gens is they run a mechanical speedo drive into the gearbox which is a bit of fiddling around.
I had changed a dash in my front yard from old crappy blue to nice new dark grey color everything back together in just over 3 hours.

Yeah I've done it. U don't need to remove steering wheel. But u will need to remove pillar covers. Um can't think of anything specific ATM

yep done ummm too many lol, i find it easier without a steering wheel on, and the two bolts that most forget about are under the two round caps on top of the dash, allow 4-6 hours if you haven't done one before, i personally take an extra 10 mins and rip out the front seats but up to you,

all done, dash out, took me about 1.5 hours ( but wasn't really watching the time seemed like lees than that) 2 most important things to do is unbolt the steering rack to let it drop and undo the little bit of plastic trim under the ignition barrel.

Pics? Always wondered what a magna looks like without a dash!
