Can anyone recommend an air conditioning shop in the Sydney area that will regas with HR12 (Hychill)?

The air-cond in both my TP Magnas is useless. The wagon was converted to R134a a few years ago. From then on, it was never very cold and now doesn't cool at all. I think the sedan is still on R12. Its air is still slightly cool but not cold. HR12 seems the best option as it is compatible with R12 (so no conversion costs) and more effective than R134a.

HR12 is the way to go - got my TP topped up with it a few years back and it worked well. IIRC cans are avail from suppliers/mail order for DIY.

That's good to hear. I will probably ring Hychill on Monday and see if they have a list of places that re-gas with it. There is a list of distributors on their site but they look like trade suppliers except for one in Liverpool that might sell the DIY cans.
