Won't go up, I can hear the switch clicking but nothing.
Is there I way I can get it up manually? I'd better start looking for a window motor.

Might be the switch buggered?
if the motor is buggered, it wont be going up or down, you can unplug it and then feed it 12V from another source if you want to try and get it to move (then just switch the wires for it to go the other way)
I would also try another switch panel

Is there a way? Do what i did. get a mate to press the UP button while you grab the window from either side and slowly but gently pull it up to shut position. Mines buggered up and quotes for repairs are hesitant and expensive.
Apparently the reason why its so common is more the design, coz the windows dont have a frame around em, the motor gears break off. Had that issue on a friends Lexus Es300 too -

Yeah, has that happened with my Verada last year, had to replace the regulator. Used a block of wood to hold the window up till I did :P

Door card off, two wires and 6 bolts and it should be out, replace motor and reassemble

You can't replace the motor, you have to replace the whole kit. Mitsi don't sell the individual parts on the older style (which is notorious for breaking). Mine broke a couple months ago. You're looking at about $650 to get a new one fitted, but the new design is much better.

Brand new one is about $350 from Mitsu, and it's a redesigned mechanism since the old one was so prone to failure.
I picked up a used one from a guy parting out a crashed Verada, $50 and installed it myself.

So what car should I get one to replace it out of?

Fine, as long as you get one of the new designs :)
And have the time to install it. I was simply quoting the price to get it installed in case he went down that path.

So how does one tell the new design from the old?

Well, this is only a guess - hopefully one of the guru's will give a definate!
I have a 2000 KJ with big door pockets, and VERY slow weak-seeming power windows, front esp.
I have a 2002 Sports with the door pocket taken up mostly by a plastic lump (tho I think its just foam for crash safety, don't think it is to do with power windows).... and power windows move smoothly, quickly and like they may last longer than next week.
So, I'm guessing somewhere around the TJ MY02 or TJ Series II may have introduced the new design?? There is a distinct difference between my older-but-low-mileage Verada, and my newer-but-badly-mistreated-before-I-bought-it-cheap Sports - as far as how the windows, esp the front doors work.

Don't think so, my front windows are pretty slow, drivers one especially, I'd say it's because they get used more than the rears.
