Trying to take my foggies off to change the bulbs, noticed that the screw heads are not in the best of condition. Couldnt make em budge using a Phillips Head and was worried that Id totally break them if i tried to turn them anymore.

Have tried applying some WD-40 with no luck. Any suggestions? The angle is a bit difficult to use a drill.

Unfortunantly its either screw or drill... Maybe use a longer drillbit?

Your not using the correct Phillips head then, there are a few types so make sure you pick the correct one for the job, also get some loctite freeze and release makes it 100x100 easier to undo

Where do I get Loctite Freeze? What is it? Im assuming K&D is my best bet? I really want to put in my new bulbs!!!

Yep Ripco or Supershat is your best bet

four things about this product though

1: Dont spray cats with it.
2: Works well on mates that pinch beer from the fridge
3: Can be used to get rid of pesky Spiders,Roaches, cats, dogs, mice, fleas, etc etc with much success
4: Its not flammable so you cant make a flame thrower from it once the job is complete

air rattle gun with screwdriver attachments will be the safest way to get them out, but effort if you dont know someone with one!

Can you take a picture of the heads of the screws/bolts?

There are also screws that have a Posidrive head (they look like they have a big star with a little star between the point of the big star). They look like Phillips, but if you use the wrong screwdriver in either of them, you will eventually chew the head out. It's probably a matter of the correct type and the correct size screwdriver.

:doubt: Or the surest way to completely burr out the screw head, if they are frozen its just like using a drill if you cannot apply enough force to ensure the screwdriver blade stays engaged on an already damaged screw head.

also try wd40 to try and loosen up any rust.

Thats what the loctite i mentioned earlier does, but is way more effective then wd.

failing wd-40 or crc u could always recut the head by using a small flathead screwdriver or chisel ****loads easier than drilling them out...
