Evening all,
Hoping to get a bit of advice before I resort to taking the bus in to the mechanic.

Driving today, going around a sweeping right hand bend, warning lamps illuminated:
Anti-Lock, Battery (flashing), TCL Off and Hand brake.

I've looked up all the lights in the hand book. Doesn't look good.

It's concerning because they were only lit up for about 5-10 seconds. Then went out. All lights normal when I turn the ignition for the first time. No problems on the way home.

Any clues before Mitsi's run the MUT on my bus?

BTW TL LS Sedan

Thanks
David

Could be a Myrad of issues, personally id leave it lie for a bit and see if it comes up again, if it does it wasnt some random act of god where they lit up for x seconds

Could be loose plug connections on the back of the instrument panel if its happening when you go around corners with the movement.

If the brake light went on then it's the fluid for that one but yes also check ABS sensor connection (thanks magna for that advice many posts ago :D)

If it is the other lights then yeah it's definitely something electrical or similar like crackajnr said. I remember a mate of mine who had the old Holden Camira(traded it for a Ford Focus:nuts: ) and he had a similar problem(in his case it was the dash lights not working and the hand brake was on when he already disenaged the hand brake) and it turned out to be the computer in the car.

Going round a corner would move the fluid around.

I think it may be a trip to the garage.
Brake fluid is down a little, but still well within tolerance.

Today, again going around a corner, the same lamps illuminated, this time when the batter light illuminated the raidio and fan clicked off momentarily, then did it again a few moments later.
I'm not happy about things screwing with my electrical system!

There is a little white fuzz around battery terminals, but nothing serious. Think it could be an alternator or voltage regulator jobby.

Problem rectified.
When mmy head unit went in looks like it wasn't insulated properly. As I cornered, some of the wires were earthing out and causing disruptions to the electrical system.
Happy it's nothing serious, not happy the H/U was to blame ...

Well the problems persisted. In she went for another looksee, the service manager was curious.
Turns out a componant of the Alternator failed. It was sent off and repaired. Cost me refurb cost only as they failed to diagnose the first time. No more warning lights now!

The technicians took her for a drove with teh diagnostic connected, every so often the voltage would fall from 14.4v to 12.3v (battery only) which is not sufficient for ABS and TCL commuters to operate. So that's why I was getting all manner of warning lights. The failure was intermitent making it 'not obvious' even though I was specific "please check the alternator.'

Anyway, happy that it was diagnosed, and now fixed, and I didn't have to pay labour for replacement of my alternator.

Strange that the voltage drop was happening at the corners.
