i managed to do the fault code trick, however i cant seem to make sence of the flashes.
am i seeing muliple error codes, or am i just stupid>?

EDIT: oh and i know it repeats the cycle

i had a look in my haynes but mine says check light flashes not antilock (i have abs) i think yours is displaying two codes, the first is throttle position sensor, the next i cant see in my manual. but mine is for magna verada 1996 to 2002. if it is one code its not listed in my manual.

How does the tb sensor tie in with the abs. It's the abs check light (anti lock) the engine e light flashes constantly indicating no errors (in diagnostic mode)

Any one else want to have a crack at it? I'm thinking it's multiple errors.

if you get yourself a copy of evoscan and the cable to plug into the diagnostics port it should display the error codes.

my manual says check wheel bearings as to much freeplay can cause fault codes, also check sensors and pulse rings on hub to make sure they are not broken or damaged, and that wiring connections are good, by unplugging and checking for corrosion, if ya have a multimeter the resistance between each terminal on the sensor should be 1.4-1.8 k/ohms. check connections on abs modulater in engine conpartment. the abs ecu is mounted up behind instrument cluster, check wiring connections there to. thats all my manual has, says take it to a dealer if this doesnt work. sorry cant be more help. sorry i got confused last night and thought ya wrote srs prob, lol. i had a long day lol.

Evoscans dont give you fault codes, at least mine didnt when i had it, just gives you HUD of engine diagonstics (rpm tps etc etc)

is that the 2 codes that have been thrown up?
i was aware of the Left rear sensor, it has since been replaced.
but the bearings have shot at the front, about to change them.
i was hoping that will fix it

Just wondering what IS the ABS fault code trick for the magnas?
I've got a TH wagon with the abs light permanently on, I can get the check engine light to give me engine codes, but I haven't been able to find how to get the ABS light to flash me the ABS codes in my searching yet... could someone enlighten me?
(also does anyone know where I can get the list of ABS codes from - not having much luck searching today ...)
Cheers,
Dave

Copied from the service manual, hope these are what you're after.
Edited to add...the below codes are for the TCL system, just about to upload the ABS codes.

Appreciate that caz_375 :)
Now I just need to figure out how to get the ABS light to flash the codes (without the mut-ii), anyone?
I read that you could short pin 1 to 4 on the diagnostic connector - but I think this just grounds pin 1 (which I already did I think checking the ECU codes, nothing happened with the ABS light).

i thought you ground one of the pins. cant remember it was a long time ago. but it was the same method for checking engine fault codes, except the ABS light flashes

Bugger. I tried shorting pins 1 and 4 but it just flashed the check engine light and neutral light for ecu and trans codes. ABS light just stayed lit.
My guess is maybe the TH is a different setup because it only has ABS and no TCL, so it must be a different system (hence no ABS flashing).
Might have to bite the bullet and go see a mechanic with a mut-ii :(
