Does anybody know whether the floor mats out of the Verada were made of a higher quality carpet than the carpet used on Magna floor mats? Just asking because I am looking to buy some new mats off eBay. Also because I'm aware that higher grade carpet was used on the floor of Veradas compared to that in Magnas.

form what i can tell there the same qualty but with a slightly diffrent pile, make sure they are real verada mats as some cheaper mats dont last very long. i am a trimmer so i see a lot of cars (inc. magnas) comein 2 my work. they might also have a diffrent backing(cheaper ones will slide around as the good ones will grip the carpet)

i have brought mats off that same ebay seller - selling those ones.
had them about... 7months now maybe more
they have been good mats - the do NOT slide around on me at all.

mine have AWD embossed in them - and the stitching has not come loose at all.
still as good as the day i got them :)
they are easy to clean as well (actually... mine need to be cleaned again)
EDIT - mine came with the little mounting tag thing to put in the drivers foot well to clip the mat to - i havnt bothered with that (OMG HOLES IN MY CAR?! NO!!!) and they havnt moved at all.
they are a perfect fit - mine even came in a mitsu parts bag too ;)

just my 2c on my experience with those mats :)

From what I have seen, the Verada ones have a longer pile..

I'm not sure if they have ever changed them, but I remember when mum had her KJ Xi, she bought the Verada mats from mitsu and a lot of the pile of the carpet came out when vacuuming it.. Wasn't a big deal, didn't detract from the look of the mats, but occasionally with your shoes rubbing on them it would pull bits out that would group up into a hairball of sorts on the mats..

Definatley 1000 times better than any aftermarket, universal mats though..

pallets of beige and they're now $5.00. Why clean them at that price?

for $5 you'd buy them, along with a can of black carpet dye, and give it a go.. if ya stuff them up - it would be like $20 at most wasted..

worth a try one would think..

I've died grey mats black before with decent results..

Cheers to everyone for their responses, looks like I will go with the Magna mats seeing as I actually have a Magna and the fact that there is a $20 price difference between the two :)
