hey guys, just got my parras today, yay! i bought them off shinraa for $200 :) and they were in good nic.
while i was installing them earlier today, i found out i am unable to put the right side parra in. the left side went in with no problems.
i had an accident in august last yr and i kind of pushed the headlight in and the bent a couple of supports.
i have got some pics of the problem.
this is the original right headlight with the brocken brackets

so the screws dont line up with the holes?
did you have troubles with your standard headlights fitting or are there differences between the paras and the standard headlights?
if you just got it back from the panel beater (if thats what you mean) and havent had headlights in yet or he modified the old headlight to fit, id take it back to the beater and get him to fix it

Do they need to up or down, or are they just not long enough to get into the holes and get a screw on because it is out of shape?
Maybe you could loosen the nuts/bolts on the other side to make that side reach.
Or if all else fails, get some heavy duty cable ties out and fix it up with them (out of view of course)
Before I changed my grille, lights and front bumper, alot of it was held on with cable ties thanks to the previous owner

Easy fix, drill a new hole for the screw that isn't quite reaching the other hole, or break off the bolt on the parra that is getting in the way, like who it is on the old headlights, my passenger side parra has broken clips where the indicators clip into so i had to liquid nail the indicactor onlol

Good to see you got them!
Probbably best to go with the panel beater / re drill a new hole, Rather than use cable ties.
God damn those BA9S LEDS that are in them are sweet!

I had mine out last night to get some water out...
maybe it's just the order you add the fasteners. I've always found these headlights need a bit of jiggling about to get in properly.
I always put on the nuts at the outside (by the indicators) first and then put in the bolts at the inside end.

Howdy all;
I found with mine that if you attach the outside nuts first and then leaver the two near the grille till they are able to screw in. I did this with mine when ifirst got them and they have held pretty well so far. However, i took mine out a few weeks ago and found that one of the screws was just spinning and sheering, lots of swearing and mucking around later i fianally got it out. So be carefull not too tighten them up too far
Cheers

this exercise took me bout 15 - 20mins cos it took me a few minutes or so to get lined up. plus a few swear words in the mix,
but i got thru it in the end

That may work well but:
1. is it gunna stay there (I think not unless you drowned it in loctite or something)
2. have you tried putting your grille back in and closing the bonnet to see if everything lines up properly and evenly?

Do what other people suggested and get back to us, put them in by the outer holes first and see how they line up.
That wont last...
