Here is something of interest and they have an AUSTRALIAN site too

http://www.frantzfilters.com.au/

There was an AMC thread back in 2005 but I think it was taken out of context and had no serious discussion or information to review.

The intersting thing I noted in the US site was the availabilty of an auto trans FULL FLOW version rather than the BYPASS version used to supplement the std screw on oil filter.

I took the time to read the whole US site and despite some concerns with his oil does not wear out, it just gets dirty stätement" and water holding experiment (the filter element was not fitted to the canister to reduce possible expansion and water holding) believe their may be some merit to it.

I have picked up a second hand one for A$60 so may giove it a go.

A taxi driver once told me that something like this used to be fitted to a lot of cabs. Said they rarely if ever changed their oil as a result and still got high life span from the motors.

Me, I just like to change mine every 5000.

Its a similar system they use for Fuel systems in the Kenworth T series with the Cat 550hp motors we have at work, twin filter style system then the water seperator.

Personally its a little bit of hype that website, oil picks up a lot of heavy metals and bases, most of which cant be filtered.
