Hey guys just put a new sound system in my TH ( Pioneer HU, Sub, Amp JBL rears and MTX splits which i havent installed yet) but i have a problem. When i turn it up loud and the bass kicks in the lights around my HU flash and my sub kicks in and out, is this my battery not havent enough power to run everything or my wiring???

What do you mean the lights around your head unit flash?

Are talking dash lights or the H/U itself?

Also - is this with the car running, or just running on battery?

Possible causes of the sub kicking in and out in most likely order:

1. Bad earth on the Sub amp - check, sand down earth point to bare metal, use a nut and bolt to secure, make sure surface is flat.

2. Remote wire is loose - check on sub amp.

3. Loose terminal wires - check on sub box, amp, and then sub itself (take the sub out).

4. Remote wire is loose on the headunit.

Definately sounds like an earthing issue, the dome light dimming is normal when pumping lots of bass, but not the head unit...

Yeah it happened on my last Pioneers headunit like the lights on the keys and such and thought it was the HU itself so bought a new one and it still happends. Its worse when its on ACC or ON but still happends when the cars running. I do admit my earth is pretty **** haha i was in a rush thanks ill check out all the connections :)
