hey guys. A mate of mine has just bought a KW verada gtvi. very nice ride, only has 29,000ks on it! He's thinking of getting some new 19s or it and said he'd sell me the stock 17s pretty cheap. Just wondering if you think it'd be worth it for my tj?

Also, what kind of $$ are they worth? i dont want to short change a good mate, but i might as well get some nice 18s if theyre pricey. Whats a very good condition set of verada 17s with tyres going for these days?

GTVi rims are NICE, one of good looking Magna stock Magna rims.

Probably around 400 - 500? Just taking a stab in the dark.

I sold all 5 of my KJ Ei rims for $350 a while back to a member here. They had an average amount of rubber left on them.

I reckon the GTVi rims are great. I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of 18's and putting my stockies back on.

the plot thickens, The tires on it were pretty bad and when he went to get some new ones (this is for the stock gtvi rims) was told they were worn to the point they were illegal. This is after owning the car for under 2 weeks, and it was the rear tyres, so obviously not from hard driving! so looks like the dealership is either going to replace his tyres or cop it for selling an un roadworthy vehicle. Whats a good guide price for the rims with new tyres?

it depends on the tyres that he gets man so i'd try and make sure they put a decent set on there!

my vote would be splash out a little more, get some nice 18s+ that will actually stand out

yeah, but depending on price that 'little bit more' would be over a grand.

some sweet 2nd hand deals out there mate, great rims pop up for insane prices, just gotta keep an eye out
