Don't know what tips your looking for, the only thing I would suggest is using the Verada tweeter mounts on the doors, looks nice and factory, pretty cheap too

You might want to make some MDF speaker baffles is you are amping the splits....

I have the verada tweeter inserts, and if I had my time again, I would mount them on top of the dash to lift the sound stage, but the the detriment of the tweeter in the sun.
I wouldnt be so worried about the tweeter in the sun....
More so the sound bouncing off the windscreen.....

Cars with the 8 speaker system got mid ranges in those spots

Not sure mate, havent had mine out.
Should be easy enough, try a search i think a fair few guys here have done it.
I would reccomend the tweeter pods though, would look alot neater

The "plugs" at either side ofdash, onupper surface, are for approx3"midrange speakers as previously advised.
To remove existing speakers or the plug blanks, just use a small screwdriver to lever them out gently,or a dull knife etc. They have tabs to "clip" in, but in my Verada they were more or less just sitting there- came out very easily.
Our Verada's have a fairly lightweight-looking little driver there, the Mitsi Clearance place in Adelaide has HEAPS of"Infinity" 3-inch mid-drivers for cheap price - about $5- each to AMC members. If you worry about decor, the Infinity ones only have a charcoal cloth.
They have much larger magnets than the aussie Verada speakers- BUT they do not have cross-over gear mounted on back of speaker (I thought they did and stated so in another thread- my bad).
There is heaps of room under in the dash "pod" to poke wiring through under the dash surface -would be very easy to run wires for coax tweeters through that spot. Up sides of dash near A-pillar trim with tweeters mounted near that would be more "stealth" install from outside the car, though. (just thinking of reducing visibility of custom gear to potential vandals and thieves).
I quite like the extra mid-range drivers in the dash pods in my Verada, compared to my Sports which has no dash pods (yet, just bought some at Adelaide, not fitted them).

i have the tweaters of my type R alpine on the dash using those plugs perfect size for it too, dunno about boucing sound of the windscreen as u can angle the R tweater back towards the seats with no problems

+1
I have my Focal splits installed in the same position and they sound great. Installing your tweeters in those circular dash pods is not good for sound quality as the sound waves are coming to your ears after they have bounced off the glass and because different sound waves refract differently off the glass this can cause certain frequencies to arrive at your ears at different times to others detracting from sound quality.
The tweeter covers as shown in the above pic can be bought from any Mitsi spare parts department. The part numbers and costs are as follows:
Verada Tweeter Delta Covers
P/N: MR172209 LH $16.46
P/N: MR172210 RH $16.67

you talking about the speakers or the tweeters?
both very easy to install if you've done it before, but not too hard if its your first time :)

The Verada tweeter pods are great, but be aware that not all tweeters will fit in there. All the speakers I was looking at upgrading to were only small, but had non-removable surrounds that made them too big for the pods. If you were handy with fibreglassing, you could probably adapt the pods to fit a larger tweeter. I'm not though, so I'm just going to mount my new tweeters in the dash.
