Hi, =)

Recently my radiator was replaced by a new one. Anyway they put in 3 litres of mitsubishi fluid blah blah, & they told me to keep the heater turned to the red position for a week. I was told that everytime for that week before i started my car to check the radiator level & to fill it up when it was cold so all the air would expell.

So i did it all week putting in about a extra litre of mitsubishi fluid over the week, so now it has like 4 litres in it plus the fluid in the plastic bottle, but this guy i know told me that, that was to much fluid n no good for it....so alltogether it has a lil over 4 litres of mitsubishi fluid in it if you add the bit in the plastic bottle as well.

My questions are, is it to much? Will it hurt my baby? its like over 4 litres of green fluid n the rest is distill water.
Also does this mean that i can use my airconditioner now?

I was given a 1 litre distilled water bottle, but i forgot about that & just put in the mitsubishi green fluid, it is full now it wont take anymore so i guess it means all the air is now out.

One last question, I want to put new speakers in the back of my baby cause mine are sounding a lil bit off now 'i think the sun/heat has damaged them' but am not sure about the size, n what kind to buy....i want good quality replacements. So what size are the speakers at the back.

Sorry for the dumb questions, but i thought someone would know because trying to speak to the mechanic that did my baby is almost impossible, am on hold like forever.

Later

Sha =)

The extra lt. of coolant will be ok.....yes use your air con. now.

as long as you dont have over a 50/50 concentration of ethylene glycol then you will be ok. Check the cooling system capacity and check if the mitsu stuff was a concentrate or pre diluted.

Rory_newton: Thank you for the specifications, now i can buy a nice set of speakers to suit. =)

zero: Thank you so if it is 9.5 litres then i am still a lil under the 50/50 mix with only about 4.5 litres or less of the fluid in it, so my baby is safe. =)

Screamin TE: The Container is a 3 litre white mitsubishi container, i had a look at the sticker it says it is ethylene/glycol 1025g/l it says it should be used with deminralised water. My aircon goes back to max cool tomorrow when i drive it. =)

ARS55 emmmmzzz okay :nuts:

Thank you :)!

sounds like its a concentrate. With a 9.5l cooling system you dont want anymore than 4.75L of concentrate in there. If you do, drain some out and top up with water. You want a mix of at least 30% up to 50%. This is the effective range of ethylene glycol.

Just fill it to the top until you see it in the top of the radiator.

If it was fitted by a shop they should have fitted it and filled the system bleading it for air and you shouldn't have had to look at it again.
